  • BACHELOR OF FINE ART (BFA)
 

We accept domestic BFA applications through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and international BFA applications via an online form. All applicants should follow the timeframes below to be considered for admission in 2026.

 

Our Early Admissions Round is September Round 2:

  • Applications Open – Wednesday 2 April 2025
  • Application Close – Thursday 21 August 2025
  • Interview & Portfolio Review – Wednesday 3 September & Thursday 4 September 2025
  • Preference Change Deadline – Thursday 11 September 2025
  • Offers Released – Thursday 18 September 2025
 

We participate in the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) Round, typically November Round 1:

  • Applications Open – Wednesday 2 April 2025
  • Application Close – Friday 3 October 2025
  • Interview & Portfolio Review – Monday 20 October – Tuesday 21 October 2025
  • Preference Change Deadline – Thursday 6 November 2025
  • Offers Released – Thursday 13 November 2025

Please note:

  • UAC’s early bird fee ($80) applications will be open until Tuesday 30 September 2025, after which their Standard Fee ($215) will be applied. 

Postgraduate

BACHELOR OF FINE ART (HONOURS)

We accept direct BFA(Hons) applications via the NAS website. 

Please note: Our next intake will be for February 2026. 

  • Applications Open – Friday 26 September 2025
  • Applications Close – Friday 21 November 2025
  • Interviews will be held in early December
  • Offers will be released mid-December to early January
DOCTOR OF FINE ART (DFA)

We accept direct DFA applications via the NAS website. 

Please note: Our next intake will be for February 2026. 

  • Applications Open – Monday 4 August 2025
  • Applications Close – Friday 21 November 2025
  • Interviews will be held within two weeks of application.
  • Offers will be released within three weeks of interview.

Scholarships

BACHELOR OF FINE ART (BFA)

We accept applications for our BFA Scholarships through the UAC Equity Scholarships.

This includes the NAS First Peoples Scholarship and Ernest Heine Family Foundation BFA Scholarship Program.

  • Applications Open – Friday 5 September 2025
  • Application Close – Wednesday 10 December 2025
  • Interviews – Monday 15 December & Tuesday 16 December 2025 
  • Offers Released – Tuesday 23 December 2025 

Please note:

  • Scholarship applicants must participate in August Round 2 (SRS) or September Round 2 to be eligible for a NAS BFA Scholarship.

BACHELOR OF FINE ART (HONOURS)
