Undergraduate
BACHELOR OF FINE ART (BFA)
We accept domestic BFA applications through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and international BFA applications via an online form. All applicants should follow the timeframes below to be considered for admission in 2025.
Our Early Admissions Round is September Round 2:
- Applications Open – Wednesday 3 April 2024
- Application Close – Thursday 22 August 2024
- Interview & Portfolio Review – Wednesday 4 September & Thursday 5 September 2024
- Preference Change Deadline – Thursday 12 September 2024
- Offers Released – Thursday 19 September 2024
We participate in the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) Round, typically August Round 2:
- Applications Open – Wednesday 3 April 2024
- Application Close – Monday 16 September 2024
- Interview & Portfolio Review – Monday 21 October – Tuesday 22 October 2024
- Preference Change Deadline – Friday 1 November 2024
- Offers Released – Friday 8 November 2024

Please note:
- UAC’s early bird fee ($80) applications will be open until Monday 30 September 2024, after which their Standard Fee ($215) will be applied.
- We may hold an additional round in late January 2025. However, this is dependent on enrolment numbers. Please apply in line with the above timelines if you are keen to study with us in 2025.
Postgraduate
All applicants should follow the timeframes below to be considered for admission in 2025.
MASTER OF FINE ART (MFA)
We accept direct MFA applications via the NAS website. Please submit an EOI to [email protected] to be notified when applications open.

- Offers Released – Wednesday 11 December 2024
We accept direct DFA applications via the NAS website. Please submit an EOI to [email protected] to be notified when applications open.
Please note: We will not be having a July 2024 intake. Our next intake will be for February 2025.
- Applications Open – Monday 5 August 2024
- Applications Close – Friday 29 November 2024
- Interviews will be held within two weeks of application
- Offers will be released within two weeks of interview.
Scholarships
BACHELOR FINE ART (BFA)
We accept applications for our BFA Scholarships through the UAC Equity Scholarships.
This includes the NAS First Peoples Scholarship and Ernest Heine Family Foundation BFA Scholarship Program.
